PCs support corporations, not injured workers
North Bay and District Labour Council members hosted a protest rally at MPP Fedeli's North Bay office to draw attention to the proposed PC changes WSIB funding. CUPE National health and safety expert, Andréane Chénier, visited the protest to share her knowledge of the situation.

The North Bay and District Labour Council will host a rally at MP Rota's office at 4PM on Thursday, September 30, Canada’s first National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, to call on the new federal government to recommit to reconciliation and to make it a priority as they plan their new mandate.

Every year the North Bay and District Labour Council gives back to the community. Our Labour Day Picnic is a good example. This year, however, due to the pandemic Labour Council executives and affiliate members decided to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Bay and District. On October 6th, Henri Giroux presented a cheque for $12,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters President, Mike Bissett.
